Hi Christy. We have spoken in the past when I was with Fraser Health, whence I retired in 2008 and moved to Gibsons.
I’m currently helping a group of volunteers, social service agencies and health professionals to develop and publicize an ongoing support and education group for young mothers, related to perinatal depression. The first session will be held in Sechelt on October 1. Is this a topic you have covered, or might be interested in covering to help raise awareness of this issue, and of this no-cost resource for Sunshine Coast mums?
We could make available a very articulate young woman who has bneen through this experience and come out strong and healthy on the other side.
Please feel free to email me, or to call my cell at 1-604-989-2618 at any time. Thanks for considering this possibility.
