I went to that Girl Guide camp in Sechelt when I was 14 years old (About1950). i was from Penticton and I won the trip to the coast from my Girl Guide troop. It was my first trip to the big city. I saw my first slug on the beach. It was the first time I saw the ocean. I was turned off seafood when one of the campers opened an oyster and ate it raw. It was a wonderful experience that I have never forgotten. I would be a real shame if the camp had to close because of taxes.
Sechelt Council please reconsider.
