Hi Christy,
Re. Site “C” Power Dam. Congratulations for your courage and good Judgment re Site “C”.Energy Storage is cricial to the trend to include solar & wind power in our energy supply.Dams and Hydro Carbons[ Oil , Gas& Coal] are best resource , only hydro replinishes itself in short term.BC ers are afraid of Nuclear which is another good option.I am an Electrical Engineer, oversaw cleanup of Williston Lake – ‘71-74. Coast Guard Nav. Waters Prot. Act. Fishing was great in Lake after filling of Dam. Water moderates climate , Evaporation in Dry Peace Country is benefical to local Vegation. Use of wind power will not survive. too expensive poor reliabilitr , low energy density. Water storage important as leaving ice Age temporarily.Multiple dams on one river permits beneficial flow rates mitigating low & high water levels.Much of construction costs will stay in BC. Jobs , Jobs $$$.
